Who was Sammy Ash?

Ash was named after his grandfather Sam Ash, who founded Sam Ash Music in 1924, and according to the pedal’s inventor, Susumu Tamura, he is the one who gave the Tube Screamer its name. The Sam Ash Music Store is known for having the most significant supply chain, with the largest selection of music products in New York. Ash was the sole operator of multiple music stores, and he was known to be the most generous boss and someone who “deserved to live.” Ash had extreme knowledge about music and dedicated most of his life to serving the musical community. His love for music led to the development of this organization all over America.

Ash’s death was announced by his older brother Richie Ash, and he said:

“My baby brother Sammy Ash passed away yesterday at 9 a.m. He was only 65 years old. He fought a courageous 12-month battle with stage 4 Melanoma. I am heartbroken. He was a loving father of 4 boys. Cancer sucks. Life is not fair. He did not deserve to die. He was a warm, caring, generous man. I am sure many of you have dealt with cancer in your family. “When it hits home, it is devastating. I loved him with all my heart. Rest in Peace, my Brother.”

According to this, it can be concluded that Ash died because of a rare type of cancer after fighting it for a year. He died on Saturday, September 16th, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. at the age of just 65 years.
